I've not been watching this year but just noticed this programme about to expire on BBC iplayer.
Richard Osman (talk bloke off Pointless) looks at recent successes.
1) Fashion -- Beth and Sarah wanted Touker but he thought they should fold their two brands into one. Touker bid for 40 per cent but they accepted Deborah and Peter's combined offer -- turnover has since doubled.
2) Dhillon family -- Boot Buddy -- gadget for cleaning mud off football boots. They accepted a shared offer from Touker, Deborah and Peter. We saw them at the family's fish and chip shop where Peter revealed he'd sold 20,000 to Sports Direct, with an option for up to 200,000.
3) Small pencils for small children -- no takers -- now on sale in Dubai, New Zealand and Peru.
4) Linkee board game -- no takers -- was turned into a television quiz and made a profit of £2.6 million 2015-16. Oops.
5) Groceries near sell-by date -- no takers -- £4.3 million turnover 2015-16. Probably oops but I'm a tad suspicious they quite turnover rather than profit.
6) Waterproof coatings for clothes -- four dragons out because the pitcher had a rubbish contract for distribution rights -- Touker offered at 50% contingent on fixing the contract. No figures given but HQ seemed a hive of activity.
7) Pork scratchings -- not sure if this is cause and effect but there has been an explosion of pork scratchings into every supermarket -- Nick won -- new warehouse and the product is in a lot of pubs.
8) Food (not sure what the gimmick was -- maybe fitness) -- no takers -- turnover forecast to be £4.5 million this year.
9) Air drumming kit -- no deal -- think the pitchers effectively turned down offers -- turnover £420,000 in 18 countries (which sounds like not many in each country).
10) Hole-marking gadget for builders -- all five dragons made offers but Deborah won with her bid contingent on being allowed to run the business herself.
