the vast majority of people would be happier if they had no relations.

You are lovely, but I asked this question because I know of so many men that father children and then never see them. A friend of mine has four lovely grandchildren, but three of them have never met their father since about the age of three approx. And that is not unusual, I also know of many men who have divorced or separated or do have not seen their children for decades and are totally not bothered about it.

I think I might possibly agree with you, lfc, I have never had children so don't know what I am missing, but looking at my brother's children I am not missing anything, although they are okay. He has six.

annie you are joking!!! This is not my world. Yes there are some but it sounds like it is the majority. If it is I fear for stability amongst - say just PEOPLE - if there is no bast - there is no stability (do you see) continuity, building blocks etc
have you read Engels on the family? |

If you have a large family, there is a very good chance that one of the children , or more, will
cause complete chaos and destruction and misery. That is the reality of families. |

All I know is that two of my friends are seriously minted, and wouldn't be where they are if they had children.
I have three, all adults and successful, but the cost of raising them is astronomical. Obviously I wouldn't change anything but when they are young everything revolves around them. Working full time and, other than that, giving every other minute to them, so you have no time to be you! I resolved this by taking one day, every month, just to be me. Doing what I wanted to do and when. |
