A couple or so months ago Walkers announced they were putting up their prices due to the falling £ (implication ... and therefore Brexit?)

The wise forumites on here pointed out that Walkers proudly boasts that UK spuds are used, so what's the imported bit of crisps that cost so much?

I posted that I had instructed Mrs mememe that she should not buy Walkers crisps again.  And I found that Sainsbury's were just as good.

Well, a couple of days ago Mrs mememe disobeyed me and bought some Walkers crisps.  I chastised her and said that Sainsbury's crisps are just as good.

She replied "Don't you fookin tell me ..."  no she didn't she said  "Well Walkers were cheaper than Sainsbury's - they were on special offer"

So that went well then, Walkers.  Irritating at least 51.9% of your customers, and probably more with an unjustified price rise.

And I'd thought that the muppets had retired.  Seems they went to run Walker's Crisps  CryCryCry

They will import all their flavourings and oils is my guess.

More opportunities for UK manufacturers to begin growing their own herbs and spices to create flavourings.

One door closes another one opens.

All crisp ingredients are pence compared with retail price.
