Hitting an already injured animal on the road with no opportunity to avoid it

look at it like this: it's dead. it was an accident. move on. if it makes you feel better, light a candle for it or something or say a prayer goodbye to it.

Not nice but you probably did it a favour. Rather than slowly die it was a quicker death.

I agree with Hank. Better it be killed than die a slow painful death.

What kind of Animal?

Rabbit, Deer, Pheasant, Hedgehog, or Fox or maybe a Dog or Cat..

I hope it wasn't a hedgehog that bounced off parachutes windscreen.

it wouldn't be a hedgehog at this time of year they are safely tucked up in bed

I remember in the past parachute wrote something nice about spiders in his garden shed.

and his neighbours rabbit that read racing post and tipped winners by defacating on horses name

The best we can hope for is that we do no harm to anything in nature.

It can be very upsetting to be honest.

I hit an alsatian back in '67 ish.

It ran straight into my path and was just a blur in my peripheral vision and hit instantly.

It was spinning around having gone under the cae.

It was outside of a pub that was closed, and a couple of guys who saw it said it was from there, so we got it onto the pavement
and they said they would sort it out, and I went straight down to the police station to report it.

Never heard any more about it, but my car was trashed, with the chrome bumper flattened to the bodywork,
and my two fog lamps with covers on were destroyed!

A couple of years back, over the space of two days there were seven squashed hedgehogs which I passed whist on my bike.

The thing is that only one wes on the carriageway, and the others were in the cycle path!

That shows that some total bast@rd had driven purposely into the cycle path!!!

It wouldn't be a nice experience for anyone, but particularly ghastly for parachute, who has such compassion for animals.
