Been to Vancouver and up through rockies, usual route, whistler, kamploops jasper banff.
Looking to go to Vancouver island but got 2 weeks and looking to go due east of Vancouver for a week , turning back bit before Calgary to go for week on Vancouver island.
Is there anywhere worth seeing or staying ? Struggling at moment to see if worth it( looking at rough guide etc ) . Towns like Kelowna but don't get good write ups. nelson does but anything there ?
Did look at sunshine coast but only 80 miles long and a week probably too long.

Went to Vancouver from Seattle and that was a good trip. Can't remember exactly where we went, but it would have been through the national parks. Can remember going through Concrete!, so looks like we went through the North Cascades national park.
Have only been to Vancouver, Whistler and Pemberton in BC. Whistler is worth a visit if you fancy a bit of kayaking or white water rafting or maybe ski-ing etc. Not a heights person myself but I enjoyed kayaking there. Pemberton is pretty dull tbh, I only visited because a friend of mine was living there at the time.
aye, went to whistler couple of years ago, thinking of doing sunshine coast and over to van. island
Kelowna area is great if you want to visit the wineries. Beautiful in summer. Certainly worth a visit for a couple of days.
nice tip mr aparagus. looks like settling for whistler then sunshine coast, over to v island and back to vancouver.
My father was born on Vancouver Island.If you do go,make sure you visit Burcharts Gardens.(spelling).
