Program "After Hitler" on Yesterday channel, just showed a German factory in 1945 taking the warheads from unused panzerfausts:

I was in a museum showing how in the past they have done the opposite, effectively, turn ploughshares into swords.
Peasants take their scythe and turn/bend it out so it points upwards, not sideways, and turn it into a sort of pike. Apparently quite effective.
