There has been some chat around funerals on the recent Death thread. Not the most upbeat of subjects and they were treated in the standard gloomy view that we tend to have towards these occasions.
Then we've got the thread regarding the sudden demise of Sparkmaster. This thread has a copy and paste of a Facebook posting made by sparkys brother regarding funeral arrangements.
Given the difficult circumstances, it was a really good post by his brother and reflects the man that we were fortunate enough to experience via the forum.
It just got me thinking about the whole process and you just know that all present at sparkys funeral will pay their respects but, much more importantly, they will exchange stories and celebrate the mans life and all of the fantastic times that they shared.
And that's how it should be, a celebration of life for a man who touched so many people in a positive way.
As a mark of respect for Sparkmaster, we should all make it our objective to think about how we interact with others and resolve to make a positive difference to the lives of everyone we encounter in our lives.
A simple "good morning" to the nameless person we pass by every day on our way to wherever, a "thank you" to the shop assistant. It doesn't take much to be that nice guy that people remember fondly, so start today, you have the power.
