I read somewhere that there is a baby born in Cairo every 7 seconds. Truly staggering.

Just looking around Google I think that last post is bolix. But cairo is still growing very rapidly.

What I did find out is that 4.5 babies are born every second. Put into perspective: If a football match lasts 96 minutes then (including the half time break) 30,000 babies are born from kick-off until the final whistle. A self-made crowd. The din would be awful though.

8/1000 death rate, does that mean that 8 out of 1000 people will die every year.  Doesnt that suggest the average age of death will be 120?
