It's been a gradual process, a bit like the reduction in absolute poverty, or the increase in world food production to new records, but I can't help observing that the quality and quantity of posh crumpet is at an all time high.
Back in the day there was Joanne Bakewell, followed a decade later by Mary-Ann Sieghart and Joanne Lumley.
But now it seems you can't avoid them even if you tried.

I don't mean to condescend, but well done girls.
