Yes the temperature is rising - in 1977 horizon told you the temperature would rise by two degrees over fifty years.
the sun's output is not steady - it's a variable star.

the sun flips it's poles every 11 yrs on average, a 22 yr cycle. But output sneaks up by a tiny increment each time. given enough time it'll cook us.
right now we are in solar minimum, nearly no sunspots, like a billiard ball. more light energy, less heat.

it's really remarkable that people forget stuff they are told years ago and accept the latest BS so readily. hundreds of years of solar observation discarded so quickly.
right now this week the sun is bombarding the earth with huge solar storms.
