The UN do not have a lot of power...
Assad backed by the Russians, wants one thing to take Aleppo The West supporting the rebels wishes to stop him... This takes priority I am afraid.. I hope all civilians can be evacuated myself |

War tends to take priority over civilian casualties, and most countries only abide by UN resolutions
when it suits them. |

The UN does do very good work. This is in the area of trying to help the victims of war, famine, etc.
It tries to educate poorer countries to make them more efficient. It also warns us when atrocities start happening, they were the first to warn us of ISIS, and now in Aleppo of course. But they cannot control powerful counties or their policies. They have no army of their own. The United Nations was a good idea but has only ever worked on the humanitarian side. My own opinion. |

Most casualties by a long way, I think.

Muslims will kill each other (and anyone else tbf) whether other nations intervene or not, it is their way. Hindsight tells me we should just leave em to it.

How many reporters are actually in Syria ?
|
|
By:
They have just started to do that here. Only a few so far and a few beaten up.
|
|
By:
up until now they have been reporting 'on aleppo' whilst cowering in Turkey
|
|
By:
I'd hazard a guess that a lot of the info. is coming from Al Jazeeera which is funded by the ruling family of Qatar who have been in turn funding and arming the rebels for several years now.

I read that they are not any reporters in Syria (cant blame them)
So the news is open to sponsorship ? |

250,000 facing Armaggeddon then 150k then 50 then 'thousands' - it was pure propaganda - just one example -
jihaddis holding civilians hostage - not letting them go so they end up getting involved and killed by assad's lot just another example not reported the jihaddis attacked a few weeks ago a 'rebel' offensive which killed civilians - not much about that!! the west really started screaming about this latest assault on aleppo(pleading for them to stop) when they realised they were going to lose (or their jihadis they have sponsored, were heading for defeat) |
