some good debate and nice to see social care highlited

a massive problem for our society for a multitude of reasons

i really do think that it's time our overseas aid budget is shrunk to
help divert cash to setting up solutions to these domestic problems

once we have put our house in order we can recommence the
growth of our foreign aid budget

imo, of course

Have to agree.

The figures quoted were (I think):

Social care shortfall - £2.4 Bn

Foreign aid - £15 Bn Crazy
Report Gin • December 14, 2016 1:39 PM GMT
the £15Bn figure I think was the amount projected in 2020?

with the suggestion we get local councils to fund it via a council tax levy !

seems a potential disastrous route to persue

Cutting our foreign aid budget may seriously compromise our future ability to invest £280,000,000 in an airport that planes cannot use...or £15,000,000 in trying to stop Columbian cattle farting so much ( to relieve global warming)
Goodness only knows how many Mercedes limos and luxury houses we've provided for the leaders of these needy countries.

We all aspire to help the World's neediest people, but our thousands of millions of pounds every year are scattered around like confetti,( often in a mad panic, because the budget MUST be spent ).

It seems that everyone recognizes it, except the politicians who need to feel a warm glow about themselves giving away money........ours !

I have been saying the same for well over a year, it was actually in UKIP's 2015 manifesto. I currently think we give £12 billion? virtually enough to cover the social care bill and the NHS deficit for a year.

Up the Albion !

One thing has nothing to do with the other, as anyone who thinks Brexit will give the NHS an extra £350 million a week will discover.

Nobody thinks that Ramruma but not sure what you mean by the first part.
