There are just so many excellent scenes in that show. When they goose step and the turrets swing round to point at the audience(which is full of Jews) - You just know it is going to be a disaster in New York of all places. Until they get the joke. Except the nazi sergeant writer was supposed to be serious. Churchill compared to Hitler as a painter!!!!! Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder - just so funny.
Recently a show was put on at a local university and there were, yes, wait for it - PROTESTS - I went and it was hilarious yet again. |
