Aunty
I opened this hoping that it was going to be a nice techy equestion abot TCPIP or similar but unfortunately this requires a degree of emotional intelligence that is probably in short supply in this forum (I am including myself as part of the EQ desert) Have you thought about getting Gemma to put the conundrum up on mumsnet I suspect they will nail it. If not at least I have bumped your post so fellow forumites can display their EQ skills. Good luck |

Lucas, my grandson (aged 5) became a celebrity after my son sent his video to NASA. Ted, our new buddy from NASA sent back a personalised ten minute video that must have taken many hours to create. A neighbour and friend works for the Yorkshire post and ran a feature on it. Within just a day it was all over the world, and reported in about six or so of our papers, and in Australia, Brazil, China (can you believe) and in the US, obviously and many others. James was interviewed by SKY and it was discussed on a daytime show, and by Chris Evans on his radio show. They were invited to "The One Show" and had a live link to Ted in the US. All pretty exciting stuff. I'll put up some photos later, despite anticipated cries of "please spare us" by the haters! Do you work for the ONE SHOW |

Good of them to take time out to send some gifts.
Would you rather NASA spend all their time probing Uranus? |

Isn't it brilliant on here, when hitting a few buttons can pull down all manner of stuff, such as TC was able to do?
Well done TC, and James was already given a good lashing over the shirt issue. I don't know why I put "aged five" as he was still four at the time! |

First of all, the breaking news is that another parcel has now arrived, which I'm guessing will be the same as Gemma's.
It's easy today for kids to remember experiences, when they were very young, because of social media, and thousands of family photos. Also he has a dvd of their part of "The One Show", including the opening sequences, where he is in a taxi with Chris Evans, and it's being pulled while attached to a woman's hair. In this country Nasa Ted would probably have a disciplinary, but a couple of days later he got e-mails from the top brass, including Charles Bolden, the site administrator and astronaut, with high praise and invited for lunch with him. It will have done no harm at all for his career! |

Just checked NASA website where I found this message :
"If James of England does not say thank for the gifts we sent his son by 7 pm Eastern Time, he can consider his whole family will be designated fair game for extreme retribution." |

My grandson aged four, and with dad's help, sent some questions about space to Nasa
This was three years ago and he was hoping he might get some bits and pieces as his daddy did when he was young. A one year old kid wanting to write to NASA! ![]() |
