Labour on the ground in Richmond Park are estimating a Lib Dem gain, majority in excess of two thousand.

By:
Oh god it's not poll based is it
|
|
By:
Just over half of Richmond Park's eligible voters have turned out to vote in the area's by-election.
There were 41,367 votes cast - or 53.6% of the electorate. |

The Lib Dems have claimed victory in the by-election sparked by Zac Goldsmith’s resignation over Heathrow Airport expansion.
Voters in the south-west London constituency of Richmond Park delivered a Brexit backlash against Theresa May, overturning a massive 23,000 Tory majority. |

By:
Labour got just over 1,000 votes.
Yet - The Labour candidate is making an after election speech, on the platform, of massive proportions - going on and on and on about Brexit being wrong ... So much so that even the BBC turned him off! Just goes to show what insular thinking, self-important, self-serving, tunnel vision tawts all politicians actually are. |
|
By:
this has nothing to do with brexit so please sip it guys
|
|
By:
Another political 'analyst' (on SkyNews) now trying to spin the Lib-Dem victory as a , "Remain protest against Brexit."
Have these tawts ever worked in the real, outside, world? - - or are they all academic ****s, straight out of Uni and into career politics, in some shape or form. |

Seventy per cent of voters here backed Remain. But Zac Goldsmith didn't. The Liberal Democrats, unapologetically pro-EU, ruthlessly exploited this.
Time for ''spin' to proclaim this as the Nations sentiment. |

On question time last night there was a person in the audience speaking up for many millions of us, of being sick of being called basically ignorant racists for voting leave, and referring to that total pr*ck Tim Farron the week before who just sat there insulting all Leave voters.
Sure enough, the first words of the LD who won last night on a remain ticket were something like "this is a blow against intolerance". I've voted LD in the past but I'm so angry at them at the moment for this patronising leftish "safe space" twaddle and their efforts to overturn a referendum result, I can't see me doing it again. |

zac had all the attributes to go far in politics but he would have given up constituency
to be mayor of london what did he really expect from this publicity stunt? tories about 1/9 for sleaford, ukip 9/1, others ...... |

I feel a bit sorry for him, I despised his awful father but Zac does seem a genuine chap.

People mentioning a defeat for the Tories ,he was not a tory ,He said he would resign over heathrow expansion and he did ,a man of his word .The olney womans husband worked for a consultancy team to deliver terminal 5
![]() Enjoy your windows rattling you mugs . How this can be spun as a defeat for the Gov or a deafet for brexit when the vote in Richmond upon Thames: REMAIN 75,396 LEAVE 33,410 is staggering ,the media know no shame and going on the figures the perceived turnaround is actually not that great . All in all a horrible spin being put on here ,they are getting desperate ,they know the game is up ![]() |

By:
tories and ukip backed zac...
its a remain area, and they voted for remain candidate no big deal in the scheme of things tory majority in hoc reduced down to 10 tories delighted at result ? |
|
By:
Spin glorious Spin.
If this by-election was fought,as is now generally agreed on Brexit issues, the Brexit feelings are growing stronger, and the remain weaker, Referendum Remain 38.59% ''lead'' By-election Remain 2.83% ''lead'' a 35.76% drop in remain. But this is just Spin glorious Spin. |

if there was an election tomorrow brexit would be the single
major issue and brexit candidates would dominate this was not a brexit area, and voted accordingly, with influence of no tory nor ukip standing, but standing mp who triggered by election on matter of principle |
