Zoo program on channel 4 and some poor 70 year old tortoise is getting pushed off his hareem of women turtles by a young upstart, and goes off his food in despair.
So they get two new Swedish bits of hot talent, but the same thing happens. So they put fenceposts across the area and put the young sh@gger on the other side, he's too big to fit through them. And the pensioner perks up and starts getting his shell over again, without the shame of being rolled over onto his back by the young guy.
But at night, oh yes, at night .... the Swedish birds worked out that as the old boy sleeps, they can fit through the fence posts, and sneak over to get their shell rattled by the young buck, then sneak back by morning :)
Animals, they aren't that different to humans, really.
Was a more entertaining show than I expected, I'll try to watch it next week.
It's a bit of a design flaw by god/evolution that a boisterous tortoise can roll a rival on his back and he can't get back up without a zookeeper to help
Also, I've seen a youtube video of a tortoise humping a training shoe (I think) and it made that same noise, they like a good wheezy grunt when they are giving the ladies a service don't they! There's hope for a second career for you yet though, being a gigolo at 70 :)
The old guy was like the Rod Stewart of the reptile world.
