It simply means the link doesn't exist at the server as either it's moved, deleted, or you've got the wrong link.

You've dialed a wrong number.

You can't really rectify it if it don't exist anymore

What it means is you've contacted "a" server but the link doesn't exist on it, and the server has told the browser that it doesn't exist.

Check the link is correct. Is it complete? Is it long? Where did it come from? Did you copy/paste it and miss the end? How old is it?

If it's wrong it's wrong, unless the server is temporarily having problems. It's like dialing a phone number, it generally works or it doesn't.
