Not seen this but the subject himself should make for interesting source material.
Never had much time for him after his treatment of Richards and Garner and then his adoption of the cocky Australian persona (which seemed a big act, very much at odds with the introspective intellectual he came across as whilst in England) after he emigrated out there - and that was before the, ahem, more unsavoury revelations about his private life. I'll look it out though and approach with an open mind, so thanks for the heads up. |

As you would expect there's not many laughs in it, and a certain grim inevitability of the outcomes. Having just now finished it I think the book was a worthwhile undertaking. Probably best enjoyed borrowing it from a library. One thing I can safely guarantee is that you would find reading the book a better use of your time than watching the execrable 'Citizen Khan' and 'David Typing-Error and Friend'. regards etc |
