That's a good site, read the comments under each phone and keep refreshing that site as it's Black Friday tomorrow and you'll pick up a bargain whatever your budget.

Don't rule out a phone from China if you're prepared to wait, I own an Elephone P8000. Top notch phone and similar specs to a Galaxy S7 only mine cost £110.

get a nokia you can drop them anywhere and they wont break

iphones cost a bomb and fall apart from what ive seen

never seen one in good condition unless they have a rubber case two inches thick

but i would advise you not to get one as you will be a zombie like most of the country

Its not like wine. If you gave someone a cheap Chinese smartphone and a Samsung Galaxy S7 I can guarantee 99% of people would be able to tell which one was £110 and which one was £500+

Yours might offer better value but all the Chinese phones Ive seen are no where near the level of the top handsets.

iphones

It currently assembles the majority of Apple's iPhones in its Shenzen, China, location though Foxconn maintains factories in countries across the world, including Thailand, Malaysia, the Czech Republic, South Korea, Singapore, and the Philippines. Pegatron is a relatively recent addition to the iPhone assembly process.10 Apr 2016

Nike make trainers in China. That doesnt mean all trainers made in China are Nike quality. Same with motorbikes manyfactured in China/Thailand etc. Huawei phones feel and look very cheap.

the chinese can get that quality that nike have i their factories

obviously you get grade of fake but if you get the good grade then they will probably last longer than the real ones

the blueprints are out and the chinese are not giving a hoot as nothing happens to them

Zazu,
I shopped around and if you look at the reviews on the Argos website they are outstandingly good. It seems to have been purchased by a number of the demographic that frequent this forum and all cannot believe the ease of use and quality at the price. Also the G3 is waterproof so will survive any unintentional dunkings that you may give it.

I am not a sophisticated user but I get internet where the Samsung didnt , I can answer calls when it rings and it doesnt disconnect part way through (all features that the Galaxy didnt seem to support)

I am really chuffed with my purchase and Smartphones arent something that usually excite me.

Zazu, these are not imitations, some of the manufacturers are big players especially in the far east. You're buying direct from the manufacturer and cutting out the middleman, they also label the phone as £30 worth so no import duty (usually).

I wonder how much an S6 actually costs to produce (it's an S6 clone, I bought it over a year ago).

I'm very happy with my purchase, I use it daily and never run out of power or juice. Everything I've put on it has run smoothly. With the weak pound it would probably cost £140-£150 today but there are still some similar or better spec phones for roughly the same amount.

That Moto E is £50 on HUKD from midnight. I had a Moto G before I owned my P800 and it was a decent buy.

Oneplus 3 -- if you think £300 is low price -- but it is about half what you'd pay for the same features from Samsung or Apple. O2 has it.

Or so I'm told.

Bought an Alcatel Pop about two months ago for 80 quid and would need a knitting needle to text on it. Back to my trusted Nokia 301. Old fashioned but works for me. I must learn to use the Alcatel because the whole point was so I could bet when not at home.

I dont know anything about the Motorola G3 so cant comment on it

The Chinese might have all the blueprints but cheap Chinese motorbikes/cars/phones arent anywhere near the level of their genuine counterparts.

Huawei is huge in Asia. When I went into the shop I couldnt believe the low standard of the phones.

I used to have a Nokia Lumia. I really liked the phone but regularlyt he only way to end a call was to restart the phone Cry

I had a Samsung S6 mini contract finished.... was OK, not great, but on advice from everyone who has one, changed from android to iphone. Didn't like iphone at all so sent it back.
Now back on android, Motorola G4. Bit big, quite light, good battery. Well Happy. much cheaper than other makes.
Recommend.
