we struggle to manage a few dozen
i reckon deporting 2 million and jailing a further number
will wipe out unemployment in the usa, and they will need
to import labour ( labor
) to help carry out the task
huge huge task, imo

It would obviously be in spaced out stages though donny.
These people arguing against Trumps idea, i can't really see how they can,
If there illegal - surely the word illegal says it all.

Who do you think does all the jobs Americans won't do? It's a fantastic soundbite for Republicans as it fires up their supporters. The reality is it would hurt the economy.
illegal or not its a huge task just to find them
them prove they are illegal, then pay their fare home
them prove they are illegal, then pay their fare home
The luvvies refer to em as irregular now ron, not illegal, better if it doesn't sound like the law is being broken.
obama got rid of 3 million illegal immigrants during his 8 years.
so the apparatus is there, i presume it just need more money.

With respect Hank.
i think this they do the jobs we won't do is an invented thing, there's certain types
of jobs in the UK you have a 10 x better chance of getting if your black or gay etc.
what would anyone say the jobs are in the UK a white (British) man / woman would refuse to do?

Ron I lived in Texas for years - it isn't something that is made up. To give a simplistic answer to a complicated issue - your average American is not going to make ends meet doing some of the jobs at the $ available. However, if you're from Mexico the wage will be a significant increase and you'd be able to send money back home. A better solution in my mind is to make a path to citizenship.
Look at London Transport jobs - what chance would a white person have unless
they had a family member already working there.
as i've previously said someone in the fire brigade said you've got minimal chance
of getting in if your white & the ideal candidate, they're looking for gay's, blacks etc
how sick is this Politically Correct pattern, you want the best person for the job in all
cases......& this they do the jobs we dont want to do converts to the employees want
to pay them as little as possible.......i was on a better hourly rate than now 7 years
ago....work that one out

Even with the possibility of being blackballed from chit chat I feel in the interests of transparency I must reveal I am married to a Democrat
guinness if you ever get a chance to visit there I highly recommend it. Baffles me why so many go to Florida etc.
Surely a large % of Democrats must be disgusted by the reaction/riots Hank?
Don't fancy 3 or 4 outraged hubbys chasing me down with a lasso tbh Hank..
guinness I'm sure most are Ron. I've already said it on another thread but they are better off looking for a better candidate and putting their energies in to changing the broken electoral college system.

Hank, was the electoral college system broken prior to last week?
Yes saddo. I have been an opponent ever since I studied US politics. Just as I believe fptp is flawed. I think even a certain Mr Trump tweeted similar musings...
Idiotic nonsense from Hank Hill . Let millions of immigrants into the country pushing down wages and conditions and then says woe is us we can't do without them our workers won't work for those wages. Well yes that's the outcome, what do you suggest as a solution?
Then the electoral system is broken, and should be changed. Says he noticed when studying American politics. Well the electoral system is there for very good reasons, put in place by people much smarter than himself. Perhaps he wants to wreck it and put in place something worse, it's possible ? he doesn't say.
He must have been a very lazy student.

To reply to the OP
It'll cost a fortune and take forever, especially with Trump cutting taxes, building walls and improving the US infrastructure - in other words, politically expedient bs.
Only marginally more plausible than "Prevent Muslims from entering the country until the authorities figure out what to do with them" I mean just think THAT one through! If they stop anyone with a big bushy beard, that's Brian Blessed fkd and I doubt Susan Boyle will be playing many concerts there in future.

Trump said 2-3 million, 2 million is the lower end.
He will borrow, borrow and borrow some more.
He will borrow, borrow and borrow some more.
Not a bad target though is it to rid your country of illegal immigrants.
I'm sure the native Indians are bemused by the whole thing.
Did not Davy Crockett kill around 2 million at the Alamo?
Why doesn't one of you post 'Aren't we all immigrants'.
Would make as much sense as your last 2 posts.

was gonna say the same thing S H.
american indians probably dont give a sh1t tbh but must wonder what planet the yanks are from.
they invite themselves to their land and then bar other humans from entering.

anything that happened 200 years ago doesn't bother me, I insist on being unbothered by that.
Odd that the same people who refer back to injustices towards native peoples, now use nativism as an insult when it suits.
is the duke of edinburgh an illegal immigrant ?
Taking civilisation to a lawless and ungoverened land is hardly an argument against illegal immigrants.
It's not so hard as it might appear.
And America is not the UK.
Simple round up those with a conviction - whoosh gone.
Anyone caught in the country illegally - whoosh gone.
Anyone who thinks they were ejected illegally or unfairly can apply to have their cases heard, after they have been ejected and using their own money.
All it takes is the will to do it.

You could set the cut off point to where an immigrant became a US citizen.
Although that could be adjusted to include certain crimes committed before they gained their US status.

would this name change be similar to the children of calais now called young people!!??

A great deal was spoken during the campaign about how the 'tough' Obama deported 3 million illegal immigrants during his Presidency, so I fail to see why this is suddenly a big issue when a Republican wishes the Department of Immigration to continue their work.
Why weren't the lefties and media criticising Obama and the Democrats?
What's not to like about deporting criminals?

2 million is a lot of people and they dont walk around with arrows above their heads
to make them easy to spot
to make them easy to spot
its easy to deport them on entry, but these folk are already in the country
already passed into the community
not so easy

It's a computer age, making it difficult to live in a country without being in the system might be easier than building walls.
funny how trumpton isn't allowed to build a wall, but we are in calais
and all across europe fences and even walls are going up

saw a guy on twitter send this message the other day. Such actions may help..
"I hope Donald Trump doesn't deport my illegal Dominican ex that lives at 584 Cannons Ln Louisville Kentucky Apt 4 (at the top of the stairs)."

An excellent strategy, and one that no American, even the most deluded lefty, can surely criticise.
That exactly what most countries need, a coming-together of all the law-abiding people to drive crime and criminals out of their communities.
What's not to like?

what we need is to pay the finest minds in the world to think of a rouse to get all the illegal immigrants in one place like the police sometimes do to catch robbers in the uk invite them for free prize etc, etc,
now maybe we could get them all closer to home by offering them well paid jobs on a huge construction job, but what could that construction job on the mexican border be, i dont no its a toughie wodney ,let me think about it and i,ll get back to you,

true......but i suspect the mexicans having lived under poverty now earning a lot lot more wont have a problem with only raising their budgets a little to enjoy life.
thats the ones who dont go down the breaking bad route.

I should imagine it is for Americans to decide how much they can survive on, and Mexicans to decide how much they can survive on..in their own country.

not a good idea labelling them imo.

but create a worse situation with a lunatic terrorist group.
now they will have drugs to pay for their campaign with the yanks effectively funding it ...what a messed up country.

well if that's true then it shows that The Don was correct when he said they were criminals.
Idiotic nonsense eh lfc. Coming from you I don't know if that is an insult or the highest praise! If you know your history, which surely you do if this lazy student does. You will know that the electoral college system was put in place as a compromise. Some wanted Congress to choose the president and some wanted the popular vote to elect the president. Just because something has been in place a long time does not mean you shouldn't seek to improve it. Next you'll be telling me the constitution was perfect and they didn't need any of those pesky amendments
ACCORDING to the bbc trump did after all win the popular vote
Well i've been saying that since last week...
It's the lefties everywhere that say diff. I do hope CNN are going to mention it...

when I put this up about the lack of any in depth investigation by journos I was told that the vote hadn't been fully counted
this was when it had gone from 2 million to clinton to ... a few hundred thousand to trumpton
but why tell the population that it was 2 mill to when tv news was broadcast as they examined the various outcomes of voting
basically they were fkn lying but allowed the democrats to violently protest and riot as some sort of justification based on these incorrect figures
yet the tv news media persisted with it

as the bbc and sky ran with this for days as an excusev for rioting and questioning the system ,its an absolute disgrace that its not on their main news banners telling the world trump won the popular vote, disgusting, trump said on tv yeterday that he won the vote easily very easily

links going back even further than that, by the sounds of it, it's all been hushed up under Obama & by the MSM.
