I'd actually say it would be the continued betrayal of the electorate myself.
Whether you agree with him or not if he just runs an administration that turns out like any other it shows the democracy isn't worth salt and not worth fighting for.
Already he's laying the ground work of that betrayal by praising Hilary and sending mixed messages about obamacare.

That's even before we get to the things we all know won't happen like taxing big business who act within opportunism or building a wall.

Dusty, I hope that Trump follows through with his promises to the American people ... after all that's what the democratic process delivered.

But he will have to be pragmatic, which will ameliorate his behaviour.

Indeed. He needs to make good on all his promises e.g. construction of the wall must be well under way by the time of the next election.

Early signs aren't good -  he's already backtracking on Obamacare.

what they should have done at the end is have the whitehouse collapse and crush trump because thats the most likely outcome (that trump will get taken down by impeachment-careful what you lie for)

There's a chance that Trump's narcissism and his burning desire to prove people wrong might lead to none of the fireworks everyone is predicting.

He might be more concerned about being a "good" president and remembered well, than being a populist loon.

I was watching the results come in with a gringo and we hypothesized the same as a best-case scenario, DStyle. He will certainly want to be remembered as the best US president of all time, and he will feel he has a real possibility of doing so. Also, he probably will have some genuine advantages over normal politicians due to his business background.

I fear the biggest loser will be the environment, since he'll easily be able to remain in denial about climate change until he's dead. But I don't think he'll do anything to fk up the economy too much since that would be humiliating to him. He'll have to at least water down his ludicrous tax-cutting plan. And is he really going to go through with a plan that will make him hated in all of Latin America? Because I live here, and he ain't popular.

personally I cant see that.
If you refuse to present your tax audit while pointing fingers at others it tends to suggest there are skeletons in the closet.
I cant see a way this works at all, this time its potent based on how he manipulated the environment and so whatever happens somebody will get very upset.

if Trump has told a few porkies, then surely that's ok
or is is only professional politicians who are allowed to lie, sorry, mis-speak?

Job of electorate to filter porkies, surely.

The 'art' of politics is to convince the nation to swallow the tripe as though it were truth
trumpo has conned a nation to get the position, now he has to con politicians which is a totally different thing.
I cant see the republicans having it tbh

Dusty,
not sure Donald's said anything he doesn't sort of believe in.

Probably not completely but enough to have a resonance with those who voted for him.

Hope he follows through on his promises, though - otherwise this election will have been no different to many other before.

I'm not sure Donald actually knows what he REALLY wants to do himself. Probably cut taxes for both the rich and the poor, and spend billions on infrastructure and the military. There MIGHT be a snag.

Ill certainly agree that he needs to honour what he was voted on otherwise like above it undermines the whole system.

My own opinion of trump is that hes a money worshiper and 'businessman' rather than a politician. Quite what happens when his own interests interfere with the politics he portrays will be interesting.

There is a strange enigma that was thrown at russian politics where ideology becomes a missmatch and wrong foots thr opposition because it has no definition.
I see the exact same thing happening here with trump all over the place as SS outlines

Donald will just invade Saudi to pay for it all.

Nobody loves them, wrong type of mussie, no defence (apart from US), no seeting masses to rise up against any invasion.

Easy peasy
