Has Obama or Clinton condemned the violent rioting yet?

Normally, the president would be seen repeatedly on every channel calling for rioters to desist and peace to be restored.

I personally think that the liberals are losing their minds by turning their backs on democracy.

Obama is a disgrace if he hasn't condemned this.

We know that the liberals are hypocrites but they don't seem to care if they are exposed as such right now.

It's a real eye opener.

I think America, following this election campaign, is a bit beyond being asked nicely to calm down.

If you polarise opinion through the adoption of extreme positions in order to seek power. If you allow the winners to win harder and the losers to lose more in the great American wilderness. If you incarcerate more black males than give them degrees. If you tell exacerbate the threat of terrorism by Muslim extremists when more Americans die each year through rattlesnake bites. if you demonise whole swathes of your population and if you throw in the right to bear arms then you get this.

Wrong of course - but don't act surprised.

This was always coming whoever won.

This was always coming whoever won.

You are missing the point.

If it was the Trump fraternity rioting.
There would be all condemnation from Obama, Clinton and the collective media.

There would be comparisons to fascist actions with no stone left unturned.
Rather than an atmosphere of 'it's understandable that people are rioting'

....and there would be people posting on newgroups saying the liberal media have an agenda, like no one can spot this a mile off.

How do we fix it (seeing as how suddenly this is an issue Britain should care about)?

Not start from here is the best I can offer

Here's a worrying snippet on post election Hate Crime™.

Sounds like erse is a Trump supporter.

Terrible business.

I hope they find the perpetrator

over 3000 people a tear dying from rattlesnake bites, jesus keep your pants tucked in your socks

Here was a PRE-Election Hate Crime carried out by members of the 'progressive' and 'tolerant' types, now currently grieving about the rights of the poor, the homeless and the ethnic minorities. They weren't so concerned about this young woman's rights.

I warn you now - this is difficult viewing. One of the most cowardly attacks I imagine any of us have ever seen.

just as well they didnt show the shooting of jo cox....

FOUR people died from rattlesnake bites in the USA in 2015. One in 2016.

Liberals are carrying on as though Trump is going to bring back slavery, kill all gays and make women second class citizens.
Like he's moslem or something.

rogerthebutler will say you no what he means but if trump had made that remark he,d want trump to produce, names and photo,s of all those dying from rattlesnake bites,

Hey I can do that! Took all of about eight seconds to find it on google.

And HH

What can I say - you've totally got me in my attempt to make a point vis-à-vis the number of people who die each year in America from Muslim Terrorism.

I'll know better next time and produce specific and verifiable figures, so that my point ("there was one?" asks the world) doesn't get lost in a miasma of inconsequential exchanges.

so roger if you were standing for election and wanted to cut ilegal imigration across the mexican border and wanted to stop muslims entering the us to kill americans, you may well have told the electorate that you were going to build a wall and stop muslims coming into the us untill you,d found away of doing extra vetting

We've got a wall. It's called the English Channel.

I'd have preferred something more grounded in reality and that would have had a better chance of achieving the objective you outlined. However, as a politician I know it's best to tell the kind of lies and fairytales folks like to believe in, knowing I can run away from the consequences pretty easily or even better, blame the inevitable failure on some outside agency or, get this, the victims themselves!
