'a vile and horrible man'

she sure is  a nasty piece of work

sky is trying so hard to do what exactly - it isn't going to change the result  weird

I wonder if beckett reflects on what some of our governments have done and ones she has been involved in too.

One of the fools who put Corbyn on the ticket and lived to regret it.  A despicable hypocrite with dreadful judgement.

what arrogant people like beckett mean is 'you can only do it my way'  it is people like beckett and blair's lot who have created the loathing of politicos

she represents the sneering westminster bubble which still hasn't changed and really does not represent the majority of wage and salaried people in this country

cop this lifted from the guardian comments

just came across this , from The Baffler (editors Thomas Frank and Susan Faludi)
"This is also a story of dumbfounding centrist liberal condescension, born of the placid assurance that the difference-trimming forces of Clintonism are simply on the right side of history and that the unswayable logic of demographic diversity will ratify what all good enthusiasts of postideological meritocracy already know: that the nation’s best, brightest, most connected administrators of state power are destined always to carry the day"
It seems to me that the self-serving, self-absorbed, self-satisfied "centrist liberals" in this country too deserve a come-uppance.
The "lesser of two evils" rationalisation has wrought havoc with sensible politics in this country- well, dontcha know, the centre-right (!!!) Tories are pretty bad, the centre-centre LibDems are dead ducks, but the horrible, wicked, Corbynistas have spoilt our game since they are unkind to the rather nice Blairites.
We may be doomed to not-really-centre Right rulers for eternity.
They will, no doubt, subscribe to TTIP, CETA etc etc and , above all, perhaps, support the world-wide mission of NATO to bring civilisation and- as an extra- prosperity to all. The chavs simply are deplorable.

PRECISELY saddo.  This is why you will be having the vote removed from you and several other appendages for not following the agenda.
For you the war is over Tommy.
Comrade Merkel is on her way to stamp this naughtiness out.

ps basically it is the elitist agenda driven liberati ignoring the ordinary everyday person - but i think you DO know what it means

Margaret Beckett was foreign secretary when the crazy decision was made to go to war in Iraq,so listening to her insulting Trump was nauseating.

Thought the interviewer nailed her with (am paraphrasing) "when did not telling the truth start" - Blair and Iraq of course would spring to everybodys mind.
