Far more of a nutter and a fascist than Trump, but for obvious reasons (he's not a white christian) the lefties at the BBC/C4 don't really give him a hard time.
I'm not a conspiracy nut but I'm still inclined to think that "coup" was an excuse and allowed if not actually planned, same as the nazis, to give them more powers and excuses. |

He just wants one more vote where he can get enough of a majority to legally change the Turkish constitution to make himself supreme leader.
Once he has that in the bag, I think Europe will be surprised at just how quickly he tells them to get stuffed as they are irrelevant. |
