The ones that came supplied with my iPod thingy are finally in tatters and I need to buy a replacement set which will do the job perfectly well.

I certainly don't want to pay the £25 I've been quoted for ones supplied by a company that is also the name of a fruit, so anything competent under that price would have to be considered.

Any other Chit Chatter been down this path recently and able to offer sound advice?

regards etc

LOL, not for me sadly !

Ideally want some of those very small unobtrusive 'bud' type earpiece type things, as opposed to the ridiculous and ostentatious headphones that it seems compulsory for rugby players to be seen wearing when they get off the team bus.

The best "cheap" in-ear headphones are the Soundmagic E10C's but they are £40!!   Not sure where you are but go somewhere like Richer Sounds or Sevenoaks and try a selection.

Thanks but £40 is over my budget for what is ultimately a non-essential purchase.

Looks like I'll be heading to a Poundshop or the Amazon Marketplace to see whether they've got anything resembling what I'm prepared to pay.

Are two empty cans and a piece of string compatible with the latest MP3 players.
