He has a good chance of extending the amount of points he can lead by if he does well in Indian Wells and Miami next year as he dropped a lot of points this year by only making the third round in those 1000 events whereas Novak won both of them. Alot of points to make up in London as well only one one match last year in the RR mathces (200 points), Novak has to defend it (1500 points)

But the hardest thing to do will be to defend all the points he's won this year, winning a slam again and consistently getting to the big finals.

yep he's been almost perfect since winning rome at the beginning of may only really dropping big points at the us open

that was the first time I watched the Masters, it was wonderful when Lyle won that, after Lyle came the deluge.
other British players suddenly thought they might win also.

pedantry really isnt it. the yanks always call it the british open and british golfing commentators always call it the open. i suppose its an attempt to make it sound like the pre-eminent tournament. i'm guessing most pros see the us masters as the number one major.

back on topic, its great to see andy doing so well. i hope he can win a few more majors.

Murry knows himself, despite what he said in the interview. but to be no. 1 is nice.

thinking about it I think Murrys brother became no 1 in the world this year, doubles? and Murry may not have wanted to play down the accomplishment because of that.
