Police force pushed to breaking point by violence amid migrant influx
SWEDEN is on the brink of becoming a lawless state as the police force is losing the battle against unprecedented levels of crime and violence amid a growing migrant crisis.
The Scandinavian country is facing an existential crisis with on average three police officers handing in their resignations a day.
If the alarming trend continues, and police officers continue to resign more than 1,000 officers will have quit the service by New Years.
Since the migrant crisis began last summer, Sweden has been hit by a series of brutal crimes and violent incidents.

GERMAN Chancellor Angela Merkel is facing catastrophe over her failed migrant policy, according to a new report.
During the first six months of 2016, migrants committed 142,500 crimes, according to the Federal Criminal Police Office.
And Germany has been hit by a spate of horrendous violent crime including rapes, sexual and physical assaults, stabbings, home invasions, robberies, burglaries and drug trafficking.
Adding to the country's woes is the fact that thousands of people have gone missing after travelling there on invitation from Anegla Merkel.
Germany took in more than 1.1million migrants in the past year and parts of the country are crippled with a lack of infrastructure.

WAR ON THE STREETS OF PARIS: Armed migrants fight running battles in the French capital
A MIGRANT turf war erupted into violence on the streets of one of Paris' trendiest neighbourhoods early this morning as asylum seekers beat each other to a pulp with wooden clubs.
The blood-curdling brawl erupted just yards from the Stalingrad Metro station, where a squalid migrant camp has popped up following the demolition of the Jungle.
It was not immediately clear what sparked the early morning fight, but rival gangs of people smugglers have previously been involved in violent brawls in Calais.
And despite the horrific brawl, a pro-migrant rally is apparently being organised to take place at the camp at 6pm tonight.

Come now. They are no less balanced than the Guardian or any other daily, they just carry a different propaganda and you don't like it. I do think the Guardian is more laughable because of it's righteous pomposity.
I agree that the Daily Mail is an untrustworthy source. I wouldn't use it if A) This matter was important to me and B) I had plenty of time to investigate it. I also realise that great care must be taken when comparing crime statistics from different countries. You all free to look at more trustworthy sources and find me a more violent EU-country than the UK. Until then I will think of the UK as less safe and more crime-ridden than France, Germany and Sweden.

I know that immigrants from the middle-east and africa are overrepresented when it comes to crime, but there's not yet enough of them to make the situation as bad as in the UK?

Although Scandinavian countries and Finland are generous with their welfare, is a fairly difficult place to settle in to, as most immigrants are coming from very warm countries, places like Finland is too cold and everything is far from everything else and there is less daylight hours in certain parts of the year. There is the difficulty of the language, most have some grasp on English, but will take them several years to get a hold of a complex language like Finnish.
I think a while ago, Norway had a the highest suicide rates in Europe, and one of the biggest contributing factors to that was the lack of light for prolonged periods, less than 4 hours a day.

Sweden seems to be a splendid country with most of its citizens looking like people from modern glossy magazines,however delve a little deeper and it has huge alcoholic/ depression/ suicide issues,hence the government run the off licenses which are hardly ever open and hidden away from handy locations making it difficult to find any,how the swedes can afford everyday shopping and drinking/ dining out is beyond me.Is Swedens benefits and immigration policy realistic?
Sweden's immigration policy has been stupid, and still is, but at least it was made a bit more restrictive last year. This year the level of immigration has been much lower (but still much too high if you ask me).

Opinions are quite polarised I think. Now a majority would prefer less immigration I think. A couple of years ago that wasn't the case. Last year when very many claimed asylum in Sweden there was a very drastic shift in the rhetoric. Before then anyone who wanted less immigration was branded a horrible racist by the politicians and the media. Then they too had to admit that there's such a thing as too many:) And last year immigration policy was indeed made a bit more restrictive out of necessity. And those in Sweden who are concerned with immigration generally don't mind immigration from other EU-countries btw.
That's here mobo, I wondered if the same tactic was used to browbeat Swedish people into acceptance.

if you read the guardian you would not know very much at all about muslim attacks on women or fights between different sects. or migrants setting fire to their accommodation or demands for sharia law

not really, these are newspaper reports. we all know the situation is bad and with mass immigration there generally comes a bit of a crime wave. the crime wave is worse now because of where many of these people have come from and the process of dehumanisation they have been subjected to in their war torn countries. sexual attacks are frequent. the point is that western governments just see them as numbers, to the government they have to keep the ponzi scheme going by importing new people. new people to pay tax (very questionable, but they do all pay VAT and add to economic activity) and to increase GDP - thats all governments care about. they do not care about the victims of the many crimes these people will and are committing. if you are unlucky enough to be a victim of their crimes you are simply collateral damage. they will be ok as they have bodyguards, bullet proof cars and live in areas away from migrants - all paid for by the public btw.
until there is a government of the people for the people this will simply continue.
this will be difficult for the UK but we could do it.
in the EUSSR you have no chance at all. you cannot have a government of the people for the people there, you get the arch eurocrats who sneer at the populace and are in the process of creating political dynasties with the intention of ruling indefinitely - until the next revolution that is.

While I actually am concerned about crime and immigration those news reports could be made more balanced by pointing out that neither Sweden nor Germany can be considered more lawless or closer to the brink of collapse than the UK.
Not been many Muslims bombing shooting and chopping here this year, compared to almost daily occurrences in Germany.

Correct. However, the crimes committed by these new arrivals also help the govt in that the population has to turn to the government for protection, giving more control to the govt.

I see no one turning to government for protection, rather they are turning against government, and if that doesn't work they will inevitably turn against the migrants.

which makes them criminals and traitors in the govt's eyes(and the govt's law). Asking the govt for protection is the only way for the people.
