Mountain Passes New series. The historian recreates the 19th-century Klondike Gold Rush, attempting to find riches in a remote region on the edge of the Canadian arctic. He is joined on his expedition by polar explorer Felicity Aston and medic Dr Kevin Fong. The first challenge of the trek is to cross Alaska's Coast Mountains, where they retrace two routes set by 19th-century miners and brave icy rivers, avalanche-prone slopes and near vertical ascents

Dan recreates the trip, with doctor, support crew, all modern equipment and the first time anything remotely dangerous happens the producer calls time on the filming. The rest of the (drawn out) series will have one less viewer next week.

Come on, Dan swam that 3 degree C river unprotected, that took guts, next week he gets tossed in what looks like an authentic wooden boat in rapids and gets a bash on the nose....worth another look !

Why did I listen to The Leopard and give part two a watch?Crazy 'They will be accompanied by whitewater experts and a support crew.' Just guessing but I wonder if they are eventually transported to the Klondike and shown a gold bearing claim. Our heroes then extract a small amount of gold, melt it into a small bar and declare the mission a resounding success. They then sell the gold and split the proceeds with everyone involved. They each receive 1$.

I cant watch any programme fronted by Dan Snow.  Like a lot of docs they are ruined by the programme being focused on how the subject affects the wannabe celeb presenter.
