For over 50 years he has been making films about the injustices metered out to the poor and less fortunate in our society. You cannot argue against what the film Poor Cow showed in 1966 and you cannot disclaim his I,Daniel Blake film being shown now. This Tory government and the DWP in particular is creating the most divisive society we have had. The least well off and less able people are being treated appalling, whilst money continues to pour in, to the benefit of the top 5% of the wealthy. Wealth gained by exploiting the workforce, the system and by avoiding taxes. Rich industrialists, banking sectors private businesses , the government and the establishment are doing very nicely thank you in this, the 5th richest country in the world. And yet we have homeless people, 26% of childrenj are living below the poverty line, the lines at foodbanks grow bigger by the day and we stand by as our NHS is allowed to sink in readiness for its privatisation. Our Society is broken, and this government is doing nothing to fix it. In fact what they do is create the strategy of blame, using smoke and mirrors, and the Murdoch press to convince people that it's immigrants, scrounges on benefits, the work shy that are creating the financial issues. Utter nonsense, as is Austerity. This was a political choice not an economic necessity - and the country fell for it. And the ' we're all in this together ' bollux. You've all been conned. Look up , that's who is to blame , not down. It's easier to blame the less fortunate because the population as a whole have more affinity to the working class, than they will ever have to to the top % owning and controlling the wealth in this country. They may as well be on a different planet. But this is the Capitalist machine for you. Serve the rich , and f c u k everyone else. It beggars belief that ordinary working people who are the ones who have been( and are being) well and truly abused by the policies implemented by this government STILL think the Tories are doing a good job. |

(a) everyone was given a lollipop to start off with (b) they then proceeded to draw a pig, which is supposed to reflect aspects of your personality (c) they worked in groups to sellotape cardboard to create a structure strong enough to support a tin of tuna (d) everyone was given an Argos catalogue and asked to cut out the furniture needed to furnish a two bedroom flat with a prize for the person who could do so cheapest The Government is trying to get these people back to work and paying companies to run schemes like this... |

Ken Loach great film maker and a top man , I remember I think it was on newsnight a few years back Ken Loach v Micheal Heseltine and ken wiped the floor with tarzan who after about 10 minutes looked like he was ready to start crying

I'm not saying of the sort. I simply said that he makes films that make him money. The film ''Cathy come Home'' did his own career no harm at all. You appear very naive to say the least. |
