Sounds like you need to get rid of some engrams, man.

That will probably be the reason the Scientologist spokespeople have a very selective memory.

They have assets of a few billion $ thanks to it's tax free status as a religion, donations from fools and the brainwashed, and the fact it pays a pittance (8 to 40 cents an hour) to it's willing brethren. Tom Cruise has recently been defending the religion, but he benefits from the billions. Difficult to know for sure whether he's on the inside, or deliberately kept in the dark about what really goes on, despite being best buddies with the tyrant who oversees it. Katie Holmes is a "Supressive Person". As such Tom should drop contact with both her and his daughter but it is Tom Cruise, and Scientology are desperate to keep him as an ambassador, so he'll get special privileges.
Louis Theroux is doing a new documentary on them which will be an interesting watch. It is hard to get your head around why people accept such nonsense, and let themselves get dominated and abused to such an extent. |

I wonder why people are fooled by any religion. All money making empires. |

I know this is a serious subject clydebank, but I couldn't help think of the peep show episode where Super Hans and Jeremy join a cult

Just watched Louis Theroux's film documentary on this money making ponzi scheme thinly disguised as a 'religion'. If it wasn't labelled officially as a religion, then the people running it would have been put away a long time ago. Very clever the person who originally thought this one up. Calling it a religion means the law can't touch them and with tax breaks and all the other perks that they take full advantage of, there onto a winner!
As long as there are no complaints from any of their flock when they get beaten up on their premises, then the police won't touch them. Following the release of his film, he's done an interview about the whole thing which is freely available on YouTube. |

a little pity for tom cruise.
it wouldn't be too ridiculous to suggest that he may have been manipulated and/or blackmailed by Miscavige, and had his personal life wrecked because of it. |

There is a Scientology 'church' on Queen Victoria Street near St Paul's in Central London, a big ol building, one summer a few years ago walking past they tried to recruit me, and anyone else walking by, somebody standing outside randomly stopping people to talk about what they are and what they do, flyer in hand. Pubic grooming. Dressed all in black and looking every bit the oddball you expect these cult figures to be like
Tom Cruise is a professional weirdo either way, scientology or no scientology. |

pubic grooming.
![]() good lord, definitely can't be legal to do that to strangers in public? |

I'm not part of a religion. no church, no pastor, no middlemen brain washing me.
St Paul said you are the priest. I have a book and a god - that's it. No brainwashing, unless I brainwashed myself. Self delusion. I don't hand cash to strangers and I have an imaginary friend that the queen and her ministers have to kneel down in front of... because his authority is real. |
