Has a very firm grip on the gravy train IMO.

Gets ex MP's pension, both he and Mrs get incomes as both Peers and MEPs with pensions to follow no doubt.

All together now - "The working class can kiss my arse" etc..............

Nothing very memorable about him, except when he fell over on the beach.

.. KNIGHT COMMANDER, i agree with you , but from what looked like a staunch labour man almost sell his soul is a shame.

the aberfan disaster was a tragedy that needs no explaining especially from him, looking to keep his face in the frame.  Devil

And that was a couple of years ago. Add a few noughts and you'd be somewhere nearer today's pay out.

Those salary figures look a bit high. Has whatever paper it comes from aggregated them over five or ten years?

I remember Norman Tebbit paying him a sort of compliment in a programme about his political career.

He said Kinnock as Labour leader had made an immense contribution to his country, in guaranteeing that a Labour government would never be in power while he was their leader.
We all have to thank him for that.

Harsh but true.

ramruma... it says 'total'
I can only assume it is what they've received over their time at the trough.
Add on other family's take from the pot, ie son, daughter in law, and who knows how many more of the clan have milked the system
Socialism works... boyo!

Socialism works a lot better for its leaders than the ones it's supposed to help.

It provides cushy well paid secure jobs with gold plated pensions for the educated, while creating public industries that aren't required or needed.

Which explains why so many intellectuals support socialism - it works for them.

And when the cuts come, it's front line services that get hit not the people who run the departments.

The Kinnocks have done very well for themselves out of supporting socialism, but what have they ever achieved for the poor or the ordinary workers?

Crappen

You describe Tories in your post.
This is not the policies of today's Labour and its leader Jeremy Corbyn.
