And he phoned NEIL from the whitehouse to have a chat when NEIL was on the moon.
"hello,is that the moon,can I speak to Neil" |

They did go there and found it was **** so decided to concentrate future expenditure on exploring elsewhere like Mars and beyond.
We have got spacecraft flying all over the shop. The moon is just up there in the sky. If it was worth colonising there'd be a MacDonalds up there by now. |

In believe they did...
I am disappointed that they did not go on from there...although it was very costly. I think we should set up a permanent base on the Moon. I am sure we could study the Universe much better from there. In future we may wish to launch missions from the Moon rather than Earth. That would avoid the problem we have with Earth's gravity. |

the moon is only 250,000 miles away? they left a mirror and beam signals to it for distance comparisons. using advanced high power telescopes you can zoom in (supposedly) to the landing sites. I personally am not interested much in the moon but budding astros' could focus their six inchers at it and get a thrill?
GET THIS - the nearest star is Alpha Centauri. If the whole of our system - our planets revolving round the sun. was reduced in scale to one metre across then Alpha centauri would be 4.5 miles away. That's a lot of empty space in between. The sun on that scale would be a pencil dot. |

send women to the moon ? |

We could use Nano spacecraft accelerated to great speed to get to Alpha Centauri.
Observation purposes only. There is a plan. Capt F ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

ebu send women to the moon ? I think that would be a very good idea capt F. But then I am a little past sex....I think it would be too hard on other men tbh ![]() Unfortunately men need sex, and this is what women have a monopoly on , gives them the power they have over men.Without sex I doubt men and women would even communicate, different species in my opinion |

I'm getting a bit too old too Ebul but I still love women. They are beautiful at any age (except perhaps Hillary

saw a documentary about two victorians that landed on the moon. They fought insects and gave them the flu - it's all true.

I would like to make a valid point. We all know the first famous words spoken on the moon.but think about this. Our mate Neil is coming in to land over rocks and boulders and he is running out of fuel.He see;s a flat patch of ground and lands with 5 seconds of fuel left.
So they get down safe.So my guess the first words uttered on the moon was"FCUK,THAT WAS CLOSE" ![]() |

saw a documentary about two victorians that landed on the moon. They fought insects and gave them the flu - it's all true. I saw that Zorro, it was very good The one in 1969 was frankly a let down after that, although a tremendous achievement. God gave humans a brain Zorro, it would be a waste not to use it, otherwise we might as well do what the animals do and spend our time sniffing each others backsides ![]() Good program on extra-terrestrial weather systems on BBC2 this evening, did you know it rained diamonds on Saturn .We are starting to see planets in the Alpha Centauri Star System. When the James Webb telescope goes up in 1918, we will see more. We may have nano spacecraft to get there at near the speed of light. If the system works. The future is bright for humans if we would only use more brains and less emotion. |

erm that is 2018 not 1918

the james webb telescope will be able to show us the where neil landed and show us all the stuff they left behind on the moon, but I bet nasa will have a reason why the JW can not pick up the landing area.

its amazing how they went to the moon( temp 250 degrees in the sun)and used a cooling system that has still not yet been invented but they had it in 1969.i guess they must have lost that famous cooling system with the video tapes.

You all know nothing about the moon, we are all told what they want us to be told and to believe ... unless you have been to the moon then you can't say anything about it. You are only repeating what you have been told ... THE END

That is not that easy for some of us, so only those who have been to the moon can comment on this thread ![]() |

what about moon base alpha, that was in 1999. It needs a EU grant for maintenance.
