Good afternoon, everyone.

I need an older version of 3d Studio Max to be compatible with Windows XP.  I've heard it is possible to download the software for free from sites such as Softonic but, ideally, I'd like to buy a pre-owned box of installation CDs (at a very low cost hopefully) from around 2010 or 2011.

Unfortunately, unlike most design software suites, this doesn't seem to be readily available on eBay or Amazon etc.

All advice and help very much appreciated.

I used to use Max as a product designer but it was overkill, its more for creating cgi animations and environment with effects.
I found fusion360 and its perfect, got everything, depending what you want to do you might want to look it up.
Best of all its free until you start selling large.

Shouldn't you just upgrade your PC and move with the times?

No problem - I can't vouch for either site.
