there is one simple way for any country to become more prosperous and improve its citizens standard of living... reduce the population, and quickly.
history shows this invariably works.

I've already lived and worked in Holland and France and like most migrants I have returned homeLaugh
Report lfc1971 October 19, 2016 4:37 PM BST
how many of the millions of migrants into England over the last 50 years have returned home?
Report lfc1971 October 19, 2016 4:40 PM BST
now so far you have returned home, but that is to England so that doesn't count
Report lfc1971 October 19, 2016 4:41 PM BST
we are only interested in the number who return home from England, not those who return home to England

China tried it with the one child policy since they abolished the law their economy tanked so you are correct.

a controlled, predictable and gradual economic collapse forcing change.

(of course no-one voted for this, although i get the feeling Dominic Cummings might have wanted just this, amongst other things)

it may well prove to be better than the alternative.
Report lfc1971 October 19, 2016 4:44 PM BST
chinas one child policy was the main reason for its economic success, along with devaluing its currency

no established economy, which is no longer  creative and inventive such as Britain is no longer creative and inventive can increase its population recklessly and unplanned and not at the same time face a dramatic fall in living standards

It's pointless debating with an idiot who can't even write in decent English.

It was never an economic argument, it was one of political independence.

However

We can build a competitive economy outside the EU
We can buy what we wish, where we wish
The savings on the EU budget contribution
Trade deals with other countries may be easier to win
We can get some industry back

Glad to help with your homework Bm.

Think you are right Zen Master - the economic consequences of Brexit are unknown but will be very much derived by how well (or not) the UK manages it themselves - will they be clever, inventive, forward thinking etc. Or the opposite.

This is my argument for Scottish Independence - I believe (like Brexit) the economic outlook is unknown but could be excellent if the right policies are enacted - but secondary to economic independence in the larger scheme of things.

** secondary to political independence**  (should have said)
