One of my work colleagues has had a sex change and I can't say it bothers me in the slightest. That said, ten seems a bit young -- how do they know it is not just a phase?

If a person is neither sex, they cannot be referred to as him or her, are we supposed to use it?
If one cuts oneself from either sex, then is this a good idea? One would surely have to live as one sex. I think people should make their own choice, but for the purpose of living in our society, surely one has to be one or the other? |

I had a teenage pupil called Eike in one of the classes I taught in a W German school years ago, and even after 10 months teaching it I never worked out its gender. It had shortish hair, utterly nondescript features, always seemed to sit midway between the girls and the boys and spoke quietly, with a level voice. Its handwriting was tidy but not overneat. It smiled but never actively joined in jokes. It carried its books in a plain shoulder bag and wore sensible jeans and a baggy top.
It knew that Ray Clemence had signed for Spurs that summer, yet it was also a big fan of Haircut 100. What the hell was it? |

Can't be long before zoophiles and necrophiliacs demand to be included! Not sure what the distinction is between qweer and gay/lesbian either tbh. |

Another attention seeking parent who has probably induced the child into beliveing she/he is the girl his/her mother always wanted in truth. It always seeems to be mothers who encourage this change of sex wish for the child.
