a dutch team have come up with veg that grows in salt water - potatoes, cabbage, carrot and onion varieties.
I've often wondered why desert land isn't flooded by salt water brought in by pipelines. It would bring in fish and seaweed? other life. Why have arid land anywhere? It would even alleviate flood waters in other areas?
THIS SURELY must be the cure to famine? Monstano FK off.
