Accept the Democratic Result
Report The Leopard • September 24, 2016 12:10 PM BST
Corbyn says Theresa May’s government is not a new government; it is a new version of David Cameron’s rightwing government.

He says school segregation is wrong.

He says poverty levels are unacceptable. Wealth must be shared more equally, he says.

He says Labour can form a government. He is urging members to join a campaign next Saturday calling for inclusive education for all.

The Tory plans for grammar schools expose their divisive agenda, he says.

He says he will fight the Tory plans. But Labour members must also work together, and respect the democratic choice that has been made.

Let us work together for real change, he says.

What's to become of the majority of his MPs who are out of step with Corbyn?

And the members of his shadow cabinet who resigned?

Should make all of them attend PMQ's wearing orange overalls
Report Dr Crippen • September 24, 2016 12:57 PM BST
The Labour party is in a worse state now than before they all ganged up to get rid of Corbyn.
Where do they go from here?

What is it, 142 rebel MPs all wanting to get shut of their leader?

So should he deselect the lot of them and get them replaced with proper commies?
Report Injera • September 24, 2016 1:24 PM BST

I want to believe but the guy is like All Bran.
You know its probably good for your soul but its tasteless as hell.

You need politicians with an ounce (only an ounce) or charisma and swagger, he has not a gramme unfortunately.
Report ebulGery • September 24, 2016 2:08 PM BST
Nevertheless he is the Labour leader, the party must get behind him

and prepare for the next election
Report dustybin • September 24, 2016 2:11 PM BST
but you need charisma to do that so it will just keep going around in circles
Report mobo • September 24, 2016 2:44 PM BST
The charisma of Blair.  Hmmmm! He charismad many people but not me.  Cheating liar, now very rich. But a man of the people in his shirt with rolled up sleeves just like chemical ownen (another man of the people)
Report mobo • September 24, 2016 2:47 PM BST
Corbyn could start by proscribing the various right wing organisation working against socialism inside the party.  Any one with connections with other groups working against Labour outside should be expelled.
Mandy etc are still working against Labour. They will continue to plot.  Corbyn is too nice a leader to get the knife out.  He will pay for it unfortunately.

A victory for democracy.

Would have been an even bigger victory had democracy  been allowed to take its course.
Purging and excluding members from voting was not democratic.
Report Dr Crippen • September 24, 2016 2:53 PM BST
You don't need much charisma if your policies are any good, and it helps if the other side are on the ropes.
Just need to get your policies right then they'll vote for you.
Report dustybin • September 24, 2016 3:20 PM BST
Doesnt really matter too much about ideology since you cant please all, all the time etc.
What people need to see is confidence and wit to destabalise those opposing you.

Unfortunately he cant do that and his ideas tend to grind along without much feel good about them.
Virtue is its own reward but Corbyn makes it seem like eating rye bread.

The man needs a scriptwriter or something Im afraid
Report dustybin • September 24, 2016 3:23 PM BST
Politicians arnt about doing the right thing, they are about convincing the public what they have decided in the backroom is the best option and to that end its an art.
It pains me to admit that because the first problem everyone sees of politicans are the ideologies that effect you, then the smarmy lying turd doing the lying to get it through.

But politics is what it is. You have to defeat those out to defeat you.

Keep thinking Owen Smith was a stooge put up to make sure Corbyn had no competition, they basically stood for the same  thing, where were all the disaffected MP's on the middle & right of the party when it comes to standing, be interested to see if Smith gets a decent role  on the benches if offered something just doesn't ring true with all of this.

Since when in form study did a 62:38 win in a 2 horse race equate to better form than a 59:19:17:5 win in a 4 horse race?
The BBC are complicit in dumbing down this nation by spouting this horse-crep.
