Louis the fourteenth

The fact that he changed his underpants 10 times a day could mean that he was a very bad gambler ,but this is only an opinion.

This thread is Sunking fast.

I saw what you did there

I can't believe that any man would change his underpants 10 times a day.

Actually knew the details of Louis and the French Revolution inside out, as at school we got wind it would be one of the questions in the impending GCE exam, and indeed it was.

Once every 10 days is fine for me MD.

Kenny, I'm impressed. Can you remember any of it?

jesting.

Influence of the philosophers.

Lol, our posts crossed there!

GCE question was name the causes of the FR. I can only remember that one for now.

Though you said you never posted late at night, MD

Thought that was adressed to me for a second. Thinking I was mitchell downie again.laugh:]

I would not have said never, Crags. I might have said not often.

Fair enough, Ted.

Who is Mitchell Downie?

Who is Ted?

MD is a name that kenny has used on here in the past. Ted is Father Ted

Oh, right.

Aww, I loved Father Ted

Only Father Dougal left

Dare I say that I absolutely loved My Hero?

Do you think I should get my coat now?

Louis XIV did not have any involvement with The French Revolution. He had been dead for 74 years when it happened.

Who is Mitchell Downie?

Bradford City goalie when I first started watching them

is that right tobers?

Well at least I got an O Level in history so must have answered a few questions correctly.

Anyway, back to louie,he was married twice, but he kept the second marriage a secret.little did he know that a guy called Brass would spill the beans about it on social media a few hundred years later.

I also suggest that one of you kind gentlemen should post a photo of louie on this thread so that we can all get an idea of who we are talking about.i am let to believe that all the women of louie's time would fall in love with him when they seen him.
Louis was a bit of a George Clooney with his striking good looks.
So it anyone can post a photo of the great Louis it would help.

An interesting fact about THe Beatle's song "Sun King"

The song is in the key of C and the chorus ("Here comes the Sun King") involves a I (C)–Imaj7 (Cmaj 7 chord)–v7 (Gm7 chord)–VI7 (A7 chord) progression against a C–B–B♭–A vocal harmony.[3]:198 An interesting feature (according to Pedler) is the substitution of the Gm7 chord for the Cmaj7 dominant chord at the word "Sun". This represents an example of the jazz rule that allows a dominant (V) 7th chord (here Cmaj7) to be replaced by a minor chord a fifth above (here Gm7). The synchronous B♭ vocal harmonises with the ♭3 (B♭ note) of the Gm7 chord.[3]:198 The verse beginning "Cuando para mucho" is initially sung to a ii (F#m7 chord), which moves to V–I (B6 to E6 chords) on "cora-zon", then alternates back to ii (F#m7) on "Mundo paparazzi" and "Cuesto obrigato" before again V–I (B6–E6) on "para-sol" and "carou-sel".

Or maybe not.

little darling it been a long and lonely winter .little darling it been a year since you where here. But what about Louie's picture.

On a similar note, I heard Napoleon XIVs "There going to take me away ha ha" on Paul Gambacinis
Pick of the Pops show the other day.
I couldn't decide what was worse, that song or Gambacinis DJing skills.

there is only the split of a hair on your head between a genius and a nutter.
I often wonder what side of the hair I am on.

I think we can guess

Here's a photo of the Brian May lookalike you requested

he changed his underwear about 10 times a day.Laugh

I think he may have had a bit of a problem, either with his waterworks or even worse

In those days changing underwear was an annual event.

Maybe he just had a bad memory?
