Nothing to say before the nuclear sub question was to be decided. Now they need
more coz we is naked? the Russians have a hard one and they seek to penetrate our
defences.
give everyone a rifle and store the ammo in the local TA depots? that is
what they do in the nordic countries. or store the rifles in the TA depots too, if you
can't trust the local people with a dangerous item.
this is just a drive for more cash - more toys because the navy had subs... we want
to play with more shiny new stuff too.
we need to kill something... now.

If the MoD does need to kill something now, it would spend the money on conventional weapons, even rifles, rather than nuclear missiles.

It just occurred to me - the UK exports arms across the world.
It has been in the news last week for selling 4 billion quids worth to Saudi Arabia ( one country). So we must have conventional stuff - somewhere in warehouses. we make the weapons that kill the world. # i'd like to teach the world to sing... in perfect harmony.# |
