Just south of York here, said to the wife it must be 30 plus in the sunshine, checked the thermometer and it's 29.5 in the shade!
Long may it continue in my humble opinion.

29c but feeling like a sauna in the garden . 33.5 i believe in London right now . 35.5 is the September record -that was early month though, so i assume 33.5 must be the maximum it can reach for mid September It probably won't get any hotter today .
the October which reached 30c in 2012 is still slightly more remarkable though

I can't get my head round all that snow and ice at the top of Everest. You'd think it would be the hottest place on earth being that much closer to the Sun.

Bloody hot, still 24 and very very very fecking humid. Just went to supermarket and there were quite a few stinkers in there....
There is NOTHING good about this weather.
Food goes off too quick, weeds grow too quick, insects everywhere, people stink, can't sleep, everyone therefore tired and ratty, dogs don't like it and have to pant and slobber all over the place, unless sunbathing or sitting about it's bleedin' uncomfortasble. It's REALLY bad for my work, and I'm fed up with weather reporters on TV and radio saying how "lovely, great, fantastic, wonderful" and so on the weather is.
Roll on winter

Forecasters messed up a lot over the few days. Yes they forecast the heat, but those big rain storms caught them out they wasn't expected.
Also in the midlands today it was misty and a cool 16 degrees up until midday when the sun came out, then it heated up. They didn't forecast the mist lasting all morning.

It has been the most disappointing, lousiest, continually overcast grey and often exceptionally wet 'so-called summer' in the north-west and Lake District, that I have known in all my life.
- and I a'int joking.
