I agree. But won't happen whilst we have a Tory government.

It didn't happen when we had a Labour government either, or a coalition government with the LibDems.
It's the same the whole world over: It's the poor what gets the blame. It's the rich what gets the pleasure; Ain't it all a bloomin' shame. |

The problem is that tax avoidance schemes are paid for by the wealthy & they create legitimate trusts through a myriad of schemes which are held off-shore - they are almost unfathomable & trying to identify the real beneficiaries is nigh on impossible - deliberately so & HMRC don't have the time or resources to investigate properly. Instead the go for the layman who has relatively simple accounts so that objectives and targets are met (according to what parliament imposes) & the figures on the stats suggest they are policing the system effectively - patently untrue but I'm afraid it it what it is.
Some of the very wealthiest pay little or no tax |

Hang on, where does the tax havens overseas figure in Vaz's property portfolio?
According to the Sun report he built up his portfolio through property deals along with working his housing expenses as an MP. |

Don't talk sense crippen. The left have about 3 neurons max, and that's being generous.
They see someone has money somehow (in this case in property) and their ENVY neuron fires: This must mean the person with money must be a closet "Tory" who is a tax dodging scumbag with tax haven corruption thrown in, and should be chased by the righteous mob. A more realistic appraisal might be that a late middle aged man with a Lawyer wife have historically over decades invested in BTL property when the rise in propery prices has been astronomically stupid and he's benefited from it, but no that would require at least 4 neurons to be considered... I wonder if Sarah Beeny is also a master criminal? |

If he's so good at managing his money I'm surprised he wasn't the Chancellor of the Exchequer. We'd all have been rolling in it.

Being chair of the HA Select Committee was worth another £15k a year to Vaz.
Notice that he offered to buy cocaine from the hookers at cost price. Hullo, they are paid providers of pleasure, they're entitled to charge a mark up you naughty boy. Just like a coffee broker in Switzerland is entitled to charge a mark-up for beans sold to Starbucks UK. I'm guessing he doesn't tip hookers or taxi drivers for that matter based on his behaviour. And no divorces. I agree with Kit-Kat: Vaz would make a good fist of balancing the budget if made Chancellor. |
