West Midlands Police wants Muslim Woman Officers to wear Veils

It's a silly idea, almost as silly as having muslim women police officers in the first place!
as we well know muslim women have near zero authority in Islam , so whats the point....do they have them
in muslim countries?.......i wouldn't have thought so, as what male would take an order from one?

would be good viewing though i suppose to see a couple of women officers in the burka manhandling
a muslim male whilst cuffing him.

i guess we'll see the introduction of new cars for the officers like this...

Going to a bit odd in an identity parade.

All the suspects lined up wearing veils, and the officers handling it lined up in veils.

so if women can't be Police officers in Islamic countries why on earth would
you introduce them as Police in western countries or are they just for show.

How on earth do dopes like the Chief Constable responsible for this idea ever get into positions of power?

i saw a dwarf police officer in Devon last month, while i was on holiday, I THOUGHT IT WAS A KID IN FANCY DRESS..

There were two on duty in Downing street.
One was 6'2" and the other 5'4". Hard to take the smaller one seriously.

Ronnie Corbett was the shortest officer in the RAF. He had his own airfix plane and everything.

When he was shot down, he didn't escape from Colditz by digging a tunnel. He just walked out through a mousehole and caught the next sparrow back to Blighty.

I'm not suggesting it's made up by the OP. Just by the press, or if I'm being generous, MASSIVELY overblown from a remark/idea into a story by a reporter or blogger.
Usually for shock value, usually about something that hasn't actually happened yet.

One of Britain's largest police forces is considering allowing Muslim officers to wear the burka while on duty in an effort to boost diversity.

West Midlands Police Chief Constable, David Thompson, said the force [i]would not rule out allowing female officers to wear the outfit which includes a long flowing outer garment from head to toe and an Islamic veil, or niqab, that covers all facial features except the eyes.[/i]
One female officer currently being trained by the force reportedly already wears a hijab, a headscarf that covers the hair and neck.

I do love a debate but you cannot debate with these people and what is behind it all.  The demographic will decide.
In a city or large town it will be 20 percent or so and that will be it.

Asv it is, there are NONE, there are no actual plans for ANY.
So this, like most of the nonsense spouted on the subject is a non-story.

fwiw, I agree coppers in veils is not a good idea. It just isn't happening and stories making it look as if it is cause unnecessary issues.
