The drivers still liable so yes
Wont be a true automanous car on the roads in my lifetime. Jeep had to pay a huge fine for a car fault that led to a death. The lawsuits if an autonomous car ploughed into a bunch of schoolchildren  |

But wait! There's this new-fangled scheme for motorists I've heard about which deals with that problem. They call it "insurance". You know what? I reckon they could write one of these insurance "policies" for the manufacturers of driverless cars. And the great news is that with the car no longer reliant on a moron behind the wheel, the cost of the insurance will be a mere fraction of what it is now. |

why not have numbered cateyes in the middle of the road abf5678 etc. a sensor hits all the cateyes and adjusts the trajectory of the vehicle and speed.
