Sky reporting 4 stabbings yesterday ( family day ) one fighting for his life.

71 people arrested for drugs, possession of offensive weapons and sex offences.

All good fun though.

Cant find any BBC reports on this...

Itv have some Notting hill stabbing news

http://www.itv.com/news/london/2016-08-29/three-teenagers-knifed-in-five-stabbings-amid-more-than-100-arrests-notting-hill-carnival/

Nothing on BBC yet, guess don't have enough resources to report the serious news of somebody not being served food in a different country and the news of people being stabbed in this country.
Pretty clear what the BBC has decided is the more important story.

yes at a social gathering we tend to focus on parts of the evening that didn`t go well.

It is quite normal for the general public to attend carnivals, especially on a family day, and witness arrests, stabbings and general public disorder.....

Of course it is.

must admit I always wanted to go but I listened to advice from slippy. You can't beat a good agricultural show in the summer, artisan produce and good beer plus all those nice sheep to look at.

More than 200 people have been arrested at the Notting Hill Carnival.

Scotland Yard said a total of 156 arrests were made on Sunday, while 88 arrests were made by 4.40pm on Monday.

I think the simple solution is to simply not attend.

Quite easy really.

Quite a few chit chatters suffer from social anxiety issues I should imagine, a few stabbings are bound to put them on alert.

Why aren't the BBC reporting the colour of the group of teenagers, charged with attempted murder, that  assaulted  two white middle aged men in Harlow.  One is still in a critical condition.

It's as if bad news about different cultural groups behaviour, particularly gangs, is not de rigueur does not fit into the agenda.
I suppose if you stick your head in the sand you cannot see it going on.
