Perhaps pubs should be kid free in the first place?

Mind you she'd already fed four customers and a 'bitty' queue had formed.

It's just ridiculous the way that a perfectly normal bodily function is somehow seen as wrong.

Last week I was having a sh1t in a pub and they told me to use the toilet as well.

Its further evidence of those who believe everyone else should think as they do and will stop at nothing to get their own way.

Apparently, there is a law saying women can breast feed in public - but no law saying that men can't watch. Excited

Interesting thread.  I am struggling with anyone who equates defecation and associated activites with breast-feeding. Still each to his ownCrazy

What about the child ffs. Is he/she to starve.
As regards moving to the toilet. Why. Not very hygienic.
I can't see anything wrong with it.

It tells you the stinking morass our society has become that we are even having this debate.

Two or three clicks, I can watch a bird get done up the 'arris by a horse.

But a woman can't feed her child?

O tempera o mores

Laugh

If men look at Woman's breasts in the Sun, women think it is gross ...yet women think they can get there breasts out at any time, anywhere
...it is disgusting

If a man gets his wanger out it is considered gross, so woman do not flop their mammarys out when it suits them, because it is also disgusting

The baby is hardly likely to starve akabula

The trouble with our society is men are terrified of women....that is why our society is a morass.

In the past a women would not have exposed her breasts in public, so no need to now, feed you own baby in private.

Men do not benefit by this capt-F

I'm well aware of that Ebul but it'll make you think it is by the racket it makes.
A baby screaming for a feed or quietly being fed? I know what I'd prefer when I'm eating.

A very good point akabula. Many's the time I've railed at an insolent or slow waiter, when the offer of an ample bosom to suck on would have calmed me right down.

Ebulgery is always good value. Aging and reactionary fruitcake notwithstanding.  I've given him the benefit of the doubt before but thought I'd come out now given his last post.

The point that the child would hardly starve is the valid one here.
If the kid screams then perhaps the problem is that those with kids don't appreciate that in attempting to carry on as though they don't have a kid with them in public places is the problem.
There is a time and a place.
If the act of feeding the kid means getting her tit out then the act needs to be regulated in a public place.

Should a mother and young babe in arms be in a pub?

Pubs are not really pubs any more, especially at lunchtimes. Now they are more like restaurants; they serve food and coffee. Most workplaces do not tolerate lunchtime drinking, and drink-driving is, of course, a no-no.

Where I would fault the mother is that, if you think about it, feeding the baby at the same time the rest of the family eats surely cannot work very well at home, either. If she had any sense, she'd have offset the baby's feeding schedule by an hour or two from the rest of the family's.

The problem I have with it is that people just dont acknowledge others.
Its inconsiderate to assume your opinion is paramount without thinking of those around you.
Whether it's puffs kissing in sainsburys or women pulling their tits out to feed babies the point is there are reasonable likelihoods that others might not wish to see it.

Neither gay love nor somebody's spawn are the centre of other people's universe.
Is it really so bad to ask the woman to cover up while doing it without getting all fookin militant about hurt feelings?

There was a case not long ago where the restaurant asked a breatfeeding woman to cover the action while in view of others, that to me seemed a perfectly reasonable request....but no, it meant that the woman's feelings or liberty of being able to do what she wanted and when were effected and her and her spawn are all that matters.
Why not declare to everyone you are about to feed the thing and anyone not taking enough attention of the act gets a squirt of breast milk in their face?

I cant help think as a society we are so repulsed by islam etc that we are going to great lengths to show how open we are, and if you arnt comfortable then you will get shamed into accepting it.

I agree Dusty

A little deference to the feelings of others would go a long way

I am still not sure people are ready for me to get my wanger out in my local high street though

If women can get their bits out, then on the grounds of equality so should menLaugh
