Never bothered with it. Insurance companies falling over themselves to offer you it leads me to believe it's a mug bet; if it was good value to the insured party, why would the insurer offer it?

It's called Assurance for some long distant unnecessary reason and is largely needless. In the 80's I was a 'man from the Pru' for about 18 months, I was a bit brainwashed to do the job and looking back on it I can honestly say there is no real need for it.
Worst of all though is medical insurance. MASSIVE rip-off.
