Will there be uproar at anytime over this product.
Low income workers will struggle to save the 4 grand whilst the rich can grab a free grand
every year.

Its a perfectly good incentive to encourage saving. Its spin at its best to claim its a tax refund for the rich.

If you are on minimum wage I doubt you can save very much

Exactly how is someone earning under 25 grand supposed to live and save 4 grand?

Whilst the Tory toffs can all grab a grand a year.

How do these people get voted in?

This is ridiculous. Are you saying there should be no incentive to save just because some people have so little money
they cant afford to.
I cant help thinking ive been hooked here.

Oh if you want to see tax allowances on savings on a much much bigger scale why not look at the annual allowance for pensions and see who was in power when it was 5 times what it is today.

Maybe you would applaud osborne for the changes he made.

No what I'm saying is it's a way of the Tories rewarding their buddies.

I'm hooking no one.
It does not help the lower tax payers or the very poor.
I thought DC wanted to wipe out poverty?

Simply why can't it be a product aimed at the lower earners?
Means tested and progressively less the more you earn?
The poor get a higher % back every year.

Hilarious stuff. Never let facts get in the way of bias. The idea this whole scheme is designed to give a grand to the very rich is remarkable.

What about the stamp duty changes?  Who did well out of that and at whos expense?

Im just pointing out that many of the tax changes Osborne made hit the rich much much harder than gaining  a grand from a scheme that is available to everyone. But of course that doesnt suit your narrative does it.

Ive given you 2 examples of changes that have hit the rich dozens of times worse than this huge giveaway of one thousand quid.

There aren't homeless families living on the streets;workers on so called low incomes receive tax credits;lazy oafs receive social security etc etc. There is no poverty in this country and if you don't believe me go and live in the Indian slums or nearly anywhere in black Africa.
Why we give hopeless families money for breeding kids;new tvs, mobile phones, alcohol is beyond my understanding.

I don't know why either...but I'll be investing in TV's, phones, kids toys and booze in my LISA.

But the point the Tory voters here are missing is why is this product being introduced as a way of incentivising saving?
All it offers in reality is a way for people with long term savings to increase what they have at the tax layers expense.
How hard you work is not in the terms and conditions.
