A romantic gesture during half-time at the Bristol City clash with Newcastle United did not go down well with fans.
As the man got down on one knee at Ashton Gate stadium for the most nerve-wracking moment of his life, the crowd certainly did not appreciate the gesture as much as the future bride.
Fans booed the couple off the pitch after the proposal before a chorus of 'you don't know what you're doing' was sung.

Despite a football pitch proposal not being ever girls' dream, the woman was still wooed enough to accept.
The proposal came as the Robins were down 1-0 to the Magpies in front of the biggest crowds in decades.

To be fair he took a long time about it and waffled on far too much. The crowd just wanted to know if they had won the 900 quid half-time raffle....no video released as yet
