He's now got another reason to grow up and become a suicide bomber..

Before you saw the image did you think all the civilians killed in wars were 18+?

Million+ civvies killed in Iraq for starters
Report Ibrahima Sonko August 18, 2016 8:56 PM BST
Looks rather staged, like the boy moved to a beach during a migrant influx.
Report bigH August 18, 2016 9:08 PM BST
This world makes me want to weep

He's got a hole in his forehead just above his left eye - the hole is about the size of a 50p. He's also got a large cut on the top of his head and looks to have shellshock.

Poor kid.

well said geordie, poor lad has lost the lot. as you say lets just hope these terrible images shock the russians and yanks into

at least a 48hr ceasefire. i am always wanting the united nations to act more aggressively in these situations, alas i suppose

there  is only so much they can do. imagine that lad 4 or 5 yrs old and all he has known is war. !!
Report guinness2dear August 18, 2016 10:31 PM BST
The saddest indictment, geordie is that every one who pays into charities wouldn't if they knew that 90% (estimate) doesn't get where it's supposed to be going. If that little fella has lost his parents and there is no one to take him in, someone who saw it will. There is more good than bad people in this world you see, and it's the good who get shít on the most...

Just watching Fox and they said he's suffered no brain damage and has gone home to his parents and 2 siblings.

When i took Modern Studies in the eighties.
totally irrelevant subject - the cold war ended and
everything changed - read up on wheat raids in 1973?
riots in the UK? Soviet union history? Stalin and Beria?
We read about the middle east for a month or two?
shaded maps and middle eastern terrorist groups.
What struck me back then was most of the trouble came
from the Syrians yet they had a capacity to body swerve
any bounce back from their actions. They funded terrorists.
They were always involved in attacking Israel. Either covertly
or in sending troops into battle. I always thought... when will
they get their comeuppance? trouble making was their thing.

Today you look at Syria and it's a rubble factory.
they sowed seeds and are now reaping the harvest.

Innocents always suffer when the Bustards get their way.
It's the way this world is.
It's being fueled by the west and the soviets.
they hand them more and more weapons.
export profits up.
Report A_T August 19, 2016 8:38 AM BST
who is responsible for this airstrike?

I have a an objection to that Zorro. The trouble in the Middle East has been caused by the creation of Israel.
Syria is just unlucky enough to be next door to them.

I do not see Israel as a legitimate country, but I do understand the Jews desire for a homeland and why they fight for it,
If I was Jewish I would do the same.

What I really object to, is what the West have done in support of Israel. The attempted removal of Assad being the latest instalment.
Looking at the appalling death and suffering, I regard this as little short of an atrocity. It makes me angry.

One reason the Jews fight so hard for Israel is because of the appalling treatment by Christian societies.
The worst being Hitler's Germany and Spain in the 15th century by the Catholic Christians. The Jews were tolerated
by the Moors(Muslims)

I always thought... when will
they get their comeuppance?

That is not a particularly Christian thing to believe Zorro. I suppose you think this boy got what he deserved also.
This is not the sort of thing Jesus would have said.Sad

I am an atheist but I accept religion. But one must accept all religion or none of it.
Peoples Religion is usually decided by when and where they were born, there are few conversions on the road to Damascus.

I an atheist myself, but accept religious belief, if it helps people.
But it is all or none with me. One could argue they are all alternate beliefs in the BFG!

But I do not know for certain what is true....a little more Christian Spirit is all I ask Zorro.Happy
The world could certainly do with that at the moment

Captain Picard would love that Liberal Bull.

State Sponsors of Terrorism" is a designation applied by the United States Department of State to countries which the Department alleges to have "repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism."[1][2] Inclusion on the list imposes strict unilateral sanctions. The countries currently on the list are Iran, Sudan, and Syria. WIKI.

Obviously the CIA too? and the Soviets.

I've nothing against the little boy. But If his side were to win... don't you suspect they would treat the other side just as brutally. It's a race war.
The Alawite-Sunni Rivalry has been raging for centuries.
It happened to the Afghani ten years ago they killed all the christians and outsiders and then turned on individual groups within their own religion. hundreds of thousands died.
Report Just Checking August 19, 2016 11:13 PM BST
Interesting thing the wide angle video of this. The little kid was put in the ambulance and left, and a massive cluster of people standing at the back then stood taking photos and filming him. Not a single one of them in there holding his hand or putting their arm round him or .. ... obscuring the photo.

Why don't the (not at all religious extermist) rebels come out and fight, why are they year in year out mixing with civilians? In ww2 if armies didn't want a city damaged they declared open cities and moved out.
Report Clouseau August 19, 2016 11:21 PM BST
Why does it take an opportunist photo published before people get a conscience?

This is real and happening all the time... like it didn't happen until someone with a camera got in there. Cry

A designation by the United States....which rather says it all.

I think the World would have been a better place if the United States had stayed out of the Middle East myself.

Report geordie1956 August 20, 2016 5:55 PM BST
Unfortunately the USA and Europe have a vested interest in the Middle East purely because of oil; hence their direct involvement which breeds the ever continuing hostilities

One day (i won't see it) something will replace it & the arab states will then be left to have neighbourly relations or self destruct
Report TheBaron August 20, 2016 6:01 PM BST
Finding a viable alternative to oil would be the greatest thing for the west (not the oil companies) we could then leave the Middle East to fight among themselves.
Report Ovalman. August 20, 2016 6:06 PM BST
Stop having kids and then the need for oil won't matter. Over population from our vermin species is killing the planet as well as ourselves.
