.....to all competitors

These 'juiced up' bikes with their 'magical gears' is making a mockery of the games

It doesn't seem like a fair level playing field. Sad

Yes and the engine capacity should be no more than 250cc.

well the French coach has said that all the teams bikes are more or less the same, however he's implied that the GB team are on drugs.

Difficult to say where this level playing field idea should start and end.

Developed, prosperous countries will plough money into sport - is this an unfair advantage?

Geographical good fortune (the altitude advantage favouring East African athletes for example). How do you neutralise that?

The cultural aspect, which sees a relatively wealthy and high population country like India underperform in the Olympics, because sporting excellence is not a priority in their culture.

Give everyone the same bikes - but then what about clothing and other equipment?

It's the 'other equipment' that some commentators are questioning.

Commentators.....fellow athletes......spectators.....chit-chatters.

You can't convince these people so why bother? Just sit back and enjoy the sport and the tsunami of medals and if any proof coms to light of PED's (and you get the impression that many people would be bringing themselves off with joy when this does happen, as it undoubtedly will) then deal with it then, preferably with a ban, preferably for a lifetime.

Not just the French, German, Austrailians and Kiwis too, even Vogul said “I don’t want to accuse anyone of anything but it is all very questionable.”

Sore losers all of them.

Can't say I have an in-depth knowledge of cycling but the GB System seems to be geared around us peaking for the Olympics, pure and simple.

If we pick up Worlds and Europeans during the Olympiad, all well and good and of course there's the experience for the cyclists of competing at those major events. But the GB system - from the training of the athletes, to the design and build of the bikes - are all about hitting our straps for that one week every four years.

Should be taken to task for comments like that.

I think it's funny to be honest.

Australians (especially) dish it out but can't take it.

Have they shut up about Bodyline yet?
